Staying home is a form of
loving your neighbor. Think about it, you may be staying home for your own
health but in reality you then become less of a carrier to others that you
might come in contact with. These days might get very lonely for some and we don’t
know for how long we will be sequestered to our homes. Please be in prayer for
those who live alone. Remember in your prayers those who do not have a home to
stay in. Take this time to grow in your trust of God and not be anxious.
This is not live worship, it is a way to worship at your home in
place of our worship gatherings. Everything you will see in Home Worship will
be your Oceanview staff sharing our gifts with you. As we do this we hope you
will feel close to God who is near even though we are far apart.
May God Bless you and Keep
you. Now, let's worship together....
Call To Worship- March 22, 2020
Leader: Know that the LORD is God.
People: God made us; we belong to the Lord. We are God’s people, the sheep of his own pasture.
Leader: Enter his gates with thanks; enter his courtyards with praise!
People: The LORD is good. God’s loyal love lasts forever; his faithfulness lasts generation after generation.
Song: Old Rugged Cross – Joseph Farrar
Prayers of the People
and Healing Pastoral Prayer by Rev. Betty Kniss
This is the time to offer up your own prayer. Offer praise and thanksgiving to God. Share your worries and concerns with God. Pray for other people. Pray for people who are sick, lonely, and afraid. Pray for medical professionals, medical researchers, first responders, and community leaders who are working so hard to keep us well. Ask God to help you find creative ways to reach out to people and share God’s love via phone, card, email, or social media, etc.
Message: Seven Words to the Cross – The Word of Testimony – Pastor Emily Denmark-McGee
Song: At Calvary by Kim Wendt
Benediction Blessing: For Those Who Wait
For those who wait
In despair
In grief
In sorrow
You are comfort
You are strength
For those who wait
In anxiety
In isolation
In loneliness
You are comfort
You are strength
For those who wait
In tender hope
In tear streaked sadness
In fearful anticipation
You are comfort
You are strength
Blessed loving healer
For those who wait
You are comfort
You are strength. Amen.
Offering
Many have been asking how to give to the church in these times. The finance committee has been working on a secure online format. In the meantime, we encourage you to contact us directly via email or phone to set up a time to bring your offering to church. Look for offering envelopes to come in the mail with a letter of instruction. May God bless you and thank you for your continued support of our church.
Announcements
